Good Friday, Athens

Just a normal day here in Athens, Orthodox Easter is celebrated in May.
A trip to the local street market to start with, and you could see many of the small shops getting ready for Monday’s shop opening. Nice to see a bit of a buzz in the streets, despite so many shops being empty now.
Then went out for a four hour walk around the historic sites of Athens, a perfect sunny day, 21C. Nice to be in the sunshine and fresh air, and then a lazy TV night.
The bread is typical for Easter, but sold all year round. This one is non-traditional with chestnut filling.
