The Yin-Yang corner

Gardening in full swing now as we prepare for this years  Bridge of Allan Open Gardens in June.

This is the most tranquil corner of the garden with it’s yin-yang mosaic and stone sculpture, a replica of a Buddhist head from the  Borodudur temple on the island of Indonesia, bought years go from a Welsh architectural salvage yard.

M made the mosaic, based on the ancient Chinese philosophy of yin and yang,  a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.
