Bingo! Jackpot!
Today at lunchtime, I scored the Vico for my own sweet self. Unheard of, especially on a sunny day.
When I got there after cycling like a bat out of hell (logged off at 12:30, on the bike at 12:31, through Dalkey village at 12:42, at the bottom of the Vico road at 12:45), the area was fenced off. There was a crowd control barrier blocking the little path that leads down to the Vico. There was a sign saying that it will be closed until the end of May, due to essential work being carried out on the railway bridge over the track. It didn't seem essential enough to warrant the presence of guys actually doing some work. There were two guys from Iarnrod Eireann all right, in high vis vest, having a chat while reclining in the grassy verge.
But after cycling like a lunatic to make it to the Vico during my lunch hour, I was darned if I was going to give up.
There is a plan B little path that few know about and that involved some risky balancing over a high fence but I got there in the end, and boy was it worth it.
I had the place to myself.
So I was able to do what I haven't done in a looooong time and go for my swim in the nip. It feels great in the undercarriage department with no friction from useless aquatic clothing. I don't do it when there are people around. Nudity should be a personal thing.
Talking about privacy and modesty, I am bollock naked in today's extra. My goolies were gently hanging in the warm(ish) breeze. Could you tell?
