The Big Day

It was touch and go whether we would have an Open Gardens event in Bridge of Allan this year what with Covid and lockdown but the decision was made to go ahead and now we are all scrambling to get our gardens ready.

The Big Day is Sunday June 6th and Nancy McLean is putting the finishing touches to the garden she shares with her husband Alastair in Bridge of Allan.

Reports coming in from other gardens, which have already had their Open Day, are that the footfall is high. People are desperate to get out , to have somewhere to go .

So I think we are going to be in for a very busy time. Of course, we have all sorts of restrictions in place like social distancing and one-way systems and no handling of cash.
Scotland's  Gardens Scheme  is a national charity and this year celebrates 90 years of fund-raising.
