Silly ways, to spend the day, at the seaside

Have to get back to the footie. Need a tranquilliser :). C’mon Harry … update 3:0 to us - I missed a goal at the beginning of the second half. 40 minutes to go.

Muggy earlier. Walked down the slope. So many people. Realised the pier-to-pier swim (raising money for British Heart Foundation) was on. Loads of supporters watching (blipped).

Decided to continue through the Lower Gardens. Hoping would be less crowded than the West Cliff slope (where the European Cheerleading and Dance Competition is on this weekend). No, they were packed too - with lithe young teams of girls (and a few boys), getting some fresh sea air before or after competing.

All happening here. Mini-golf busy too. And a giant screen to watch Wimbledon in the Lower Gardens. Sensible, not to show the footie. Tennis fans are in a different class - no broken glass!

So plenty of photo opportunities today, and to round them all off there was an old London bus offloading wedding guests at the Carlton.
