Bunty's Day Out

I photographed Bunty heading north this morning and captured her again just after six as she returned. A long day for a ninety-year-old.

She's a Civilian Coupe, one of only five ever built and the only one to survive and still be flying. Her first flight was in 1931. She spent a long time in storage in a warehouse in Carmarthen after her engine failed. She took to the air again in 1983. She has an Armstrong Siddeley engine. I remember someone coming to church in a plush Armstrong Siddeley car when I was a child.

While I was researching I looked at the Bunty magazine Wikipedia page. I couldn't believe how it seems to list every story that was ever published in the mag. I never read it myself.
