2457. Nintendo Switches

I have to own up to having two of these NIntendo Game Consoles and I play them both….both have a version of Animal Crossing so I do in fact have two islands…Sōkutsu and Komorebi…..I’m addicted to Animal Crossing!  

These two docking stations sit on my  chest of drawers in my bedroom and one is attached to my TV via HDMI for when I use my Ringfit with it.

Having spent an inordinate amount on getting my new Mac Mini all set up (including buying yet another keyboard and mouse as I wasn’t happy with the Apple ones I had), I have now pre-ordered the new Nintendo Switch which is being launched early October this year.  My rationale to myself goes something like this….I play these two consoles every day, they have kept me going throughout the whole of lockdown…so getting the latest one will be worth it because I will continue to use it….

Having said that I don’t intent to keep the Mario one as I really don’t need three!  Once I have my new one I will transfer all of my data to the new one and reset the old one and trade it into CEX.  I’m not sure what I will get for it but it will help offset the cost of the new one.  There’s not a huge price difference between the old version and the new one and the new one has an OLED screen and its slightly bigger.

I am still wading through my data backups and my Mac has just had a huge toddler tantrum and refused to do anything…I think I may have asked it to do too many files at once, so I have switched it off and I will try again later when it’s had time to calm down…always works for me….

Otherwise it’s been a quiet day, housework, little bit of shopping, trip to Curry’s to order my Switch and preparation for some rather nice meat pasties I’m making for tomorrow’s lunch, courtesy of Pinch of Nom, one of my favourite cookery books.
