Wildlife gardening

Like many (armchair ) gardeners I am glued to the telly this week watching coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show.
This year there is increasing emphasis on everyone doing their bit to encourage more wildlife.
A simple way we can all help is - wait for it- have an untidy garden. Now this is good news . Instead of the autumn clearing away of plants and flowers the advice is to leave some debris for winter habitat and food for birds and insects.
Now that’s the kind of gardening advice I can go along with.
