Onwards and upwards....

2475. Ingersoll watch

My parents bought me a beautiful Ingersoll watch for my 18th birthday and I loved it. It was so grown up and elegant. I stupidly wore it to school and took it off to get a shower after swimming and left it on a radiator. Obviously it was stolen and never recovered….I was gutted.

I have spent many years hunting for another watch the same as the one I had but to no avail.

I’d just about given up any hope of buying another watch like it when I spotted this one in a charity shop for £15!
It’s not identical but it’s very close to the style of the watch I had all those years ago.
The face is oval and my original one was round but it looks very similar to the one I loved so much. It’s working and although it’s quartz not a traditional wind up watch as mine was…I will wear it and enjoy that feeling of almost recovering something I thought lost forever,
