According to the makers it's intensely fruity, silky, with lush, ripe black fruity flavours. Oka-a-y.

Channeling my inner Exploding Jilly Goolden I'm getting ooh, brick dust, sandpaper, parched landscape and aah, enough tannin to start a leatherworks. Robust indeed. After a period to gasp for air, it will go well with an equally robust boeuf bourgignon, or a curry. But I wouldn't put it within miles of anything delicate.
