two steamers two companies

At Gourock pier are Macbraynes RMS Columba 1878-1936 a paddle steamer with twin funnels  on its way to Ardrishaig .while nearest is SS Kinloch 1878- 1926 of the Campbeltown and Glasgow Steam Packet Joint Stock Company Limited heading for Campbeltown via Lochranza and Pirnmill both on Arran..the latter company also ran SS Davaar1885-1943 and later SS Dalriada 1926-1942 all screw steamers. The company ran many earlier steamers from 1826 and ceased trading in 1927. Their steamers were handsome with Kintyre 1868-1907 and Kinloch quite yachtlike in appearance.
