Blackbird

Most of the day in the 'yard, much of it spent sorting out the after effects of storms (clearing leaves and other debris that has blown in from goodness-knows where), and bird damage (uprooted plants and bulbs, soil tossed out of pots and on to the concrete). Several containers are now surrounded by chicken-wire cages, in the hope that they will keep the birds out until the plants have established themselves.

I was joined throughout the day by some regular visitors to the 'yard - the lone robin, and this lady and her partner. Both blackbirds are amazingly bold. At one point she stood on the bird table about 18 inches away, giving me a hard stare!
