Mammal Survey

A mammal survey is being done on the riverbank. It's been commissioned by the local authority to help it plan the best way to deal with the invasive plants which have colonised the area. These are principally himalayan balsam and giant hogweed. The survey has just started and there's fresh evidence of otter (exciting) and mink (not so good). Here are the two surveyors making their careful way through the brambles.

The quietest day of the week for me. At the end of the afternoon I'm off to the dentist for some unpleasant intervention. I'm giving my yoga class a miss and planning something unchallenging to eat. Risotto I suspect.
