Going.... going...

I cleared most of the snow from the deck a few days ago, but left this central rectangle to see how it would melt away. There was still a fair bit left this morning but I had a feeling this was the day it would go.
The first two pictures were taken this morning. The sun had warmed the leaf on the snow, and it had melted through to the deck and then a larger hole appeared (picture 2).
In the middle of the day we put the table and chairs out, but carefully so they didn't mess up my art project!
Picture 3 shows the rectangle of snow losing its shape, and picture 4, taken in the evening shows the last grains of ice.  Thus melted the snow on the deck.
