Stonking!

That was this wood-burning stove, installed in an artist's barn.  This photo doesn't give you scale, but it can take logs of nearly .8 of a metre, as is apparent in this photo.

It's Dorset Art Week and we managed to find another three studios this afternoon, starting with the very talented Diana Jane.  I really liked her images, made of layered individual photos.  Then Richard Corbett showed off his various techniques, from woodcut prints to paintings in various thicknesses of paint –  a very clever chap.

The final studio had a fantastic view north from Chedington, of three counties, apparently.  The paintings were great, as were the woven goods and stoneware pottery, but this stove took my attention as blipworthy.
