A Common Walk

Having spent the morning collecting together the old tech I have accumulated over the years (and ensuring any disks were cleared/removed), I took the lot down to the local dump and headed to a new (to me) area of Yateley Common for a walk.

I was hoping to see a bit more wildlife than I actually observed; is it me or are there fewer butterflies and insects around than last year? I did manage to catch a comma butterfly hiding among the undergrowth (extra).

Walking back along a track I spotted my main image, a delicate pink wildflower, Common Centaury (though it could be the Lesser Centuary) which just had to be my shot for BikerBear's Flower Friday, also for Miranda1008's Wild Flower Week 12.
