A day to remember

Well it started early with what was really yesterday as I lay in bed and watched the 6 o'clock news live from Downing St and the longer and longer list of resignations.  Ros Atkins was particularly good when it switched to the News Channel.  I gave up at 3 a.m. ( 8 p.m.) so it was only when I woke up that I realised that Boris had sacked Michael Gove!

The news of course continued throughout the day and I caught a bit of Today and then don by the pool in the afternoon the news he was going and later, again on BBC live the resignation speech etc etc.  These political commentators are certainly earning their money. The LBC comments that we caught up with later were especially acerbic.  It's been a day.  I was a Politics student.  Oh to be one in 10 or 15 years dissecting all this.  But it's not over yet.  But hopefully far enough on that I can get an undisturbed night tonight.

But in the real world, Amelia was off school again, #1 son has lost his voice and it was a slow start to the day.  Amelia had a strop over breakfast (conflict of tv v eating) and then we went to 163 to get some things for dinner.  the market was on a Plaza Mont Kiara and it was very colourful.  I booked a massage for next week on the way home.

After lunch we went to the aforesaid pool for 2 hours and played with the frisbee and water pistol and generally kept cool in the water.  the sun was back today so less humid but still sticky.

I made dinner, real healthy food and scared the cat, unintentionally. In the evening after keeping up with Boris and his woeful 'resignation' speech I did the Apex minutes.  Think that' me all up to date now.
