The book worm
Getting words out of Ottawacker Jr. at the moment is a Sisyphean task. The odd grunt or complaint— interspersed with a poignant comment or two—appears to be the maximum. Still, it’s hard to complain too much, as he has dived into the world of books. On the occasional moments when he is not kicking a ball about, rarely is Master Ottawacker seen without a book in his hand. He has even asked—infrequently, admittedly—to go to bed early. Send him upstairs to brush his teeth before leaving for school and you will find him 10 minutes later sprawled across his bed reading Harry Potter and the Inkwell of Malice or whatever it is called. Mealtimes, once the preserve of the family, find him distracted and anxious to return to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Fair enough, you reap what you sow.
Highlight of today was having a friend come round to look at fixing out fence. Other than that, it was a series of chores.
