The Ouse

A cycle around Shapinsay. Small numbers of waders- dunlin, ringed plover, couple golden plover, curlews, 3 black-tailed godwits etc. 'ouse' is a common word around the UK for watery places, guessing it has the same root as 'usge', 'water', also seen in rivers Usk and Esk.
