Wet streets

Lots of meetings today. With all sorts of people, even Frank our CEO. I have lunch with Vineeta and Brian and others. And the meetings continue into the afternoon.

After work I navigate ridiculous roadworks as a pedestrian to get to a laundromat. The Nashville climate burned through my clothes, and some washing is necessary. Although it’s barely half a mile from the up-market shopping district, this part is run down. Cheap groceries, boarded up store fronts, and a sex shop.

Clothes clean and dry, I head to Sweetgreen for a salad supper. While I’m there the heavens open and a whole dump of water descend on Somerville. The air is marginally less humid as I walk back to the hotel, but it’s already building.
