Hanging on

So smoky here today! The smoke is likely coming up from the wildfires in Washington State. Still fires burning in this province too.  I decided to go for a walk anyway, but I could feel the effects on my breathing and in my eyes. I didn't do the work in the garden that I'd planned to do.
The extra is a very poor shot I took of a guy sitting on a bench in the park. The weird light is highlighting his head and colouring the ground behind him. The view across the harbour was almost impossible to see in the smoky conditions.

'The extreme drought conditions across much of British Columbia are leading to a rapid rise in wildfires, according to provincial officials.
The B.C. Wildfire Service said while it's not unusual to see new fires sparking in October, the rate at which they're starting this month is far from normal.
“What is unusual for the time of year are the widespread drought conditions we are facing and the number of new wildfire starts per week,” said Briana Hill, fire information officer.' (from the CTV news website)
