That's something you acquire quickly if you work on The Times.

The late arrival birthday card was from my friend Paul who worked in Graphics when I was there.

I received my test results from the Royal Free Hospital this afternoon and I do indeed have cancer. Paul didn't know I was being tested when he sent the card and I may not tell him. He has enough problems of his own.
