Ellerman Lines
You can't go to York without visiting the Railway Museum, or at least, I can't. We had a look round the old goods station where the Royal trains are kept; this area will be closing in the new year for a roof replacement and it was clear preparations were already in place. The roundhouse is where most of the engines are housed including this one, 35029 'Ellerman Lines' which has been partially cut away as an educational tool to show how steam engines work.
Another bitterly cold day so after some shopping we headed back to the hotel. Eating at a nearby restaurant tonight that we've always wanted to try, then back home tomorrow.
