Sally Mair - Loving life

Sparkle time

I decided to be brave and blip my scrawny toes which at least now have sparkly red nail varnish on them. I did toy briefly with having my fingers done too but for two reasons didn't.
1. Vanity! There will be an awful lot of nail growth after over 4 weeks, so there'd be a big gap at the bottom of the nails - I don't think they do shellac in my part of India to have it redone, so it wouldn't look very good.
2. Hygiene! I will be eating with my fingers, so it's good to be able to see that the nails are actually clean. You can't do that with nail varnish on.
So having the nails done was this afternoon's job, It was originally scheduled for Monday so I'm ahead of myself.
I repacked my big case onto two smaller ones, I've got a silly weight allowance on the way out, so by the time I've left all the gifts behind I think I should still be able to manage two cases with the smaller return allowance.
These fitflop sandals were bought for a Turkey holiday they are rather more sparkly than the ones I usually take to India, so I'll enjoy them. I do find them so comfy.
Colin has seized the chance to have a weekend with his mum, so I can really focus on preparations without feeling guilty.
Thanks for all the nice comments on my contortionist cat, she knows something is up and is following me around.
