Cold feet

During my walk i chose to take the path through one of the groves nearby because of a rather cold biting wind. I noticed there is a lot of water and some of the paths were flooded. This tree is up to its ankles in ice-water and might experience it as a hard day at work.

In the late afternoon I took the train to Växjö, some 400 km away, to listen to Johan Hedin, an old friend of mine from the time I used to live in the northern part of Sweden. We played quite a lot in those days and today he's one of the most well known musicians on his particular instrument within the folk-music world. This time he's playing with Ida Meidell who plays Barock fiddle. Johan plays a "Nyckelharpa", a key-harp or keyed fiddle. They sound absolutely amazing together, playing music from note-collections dating from the 18th century. After the concert there was a couple of hours of dancing to the live musicians (extra).  It's well past midnight now and I bid you good night.
