Snowdrops at Hawksworth Hall.
Beautiful morning with a hard frost to start so we had to defrost the windscreen before heading to Bingley for our Monday morning no sing.
We were told we were going to sing all 15 songs we have covered so far this year but in fact we sang 16! Some more familiar than others. The exercise being to establish which songs still needed a bit of work before moving on to more new ones.
As usual afterwards we headed to Guiseley for an M & S shop and Costa coffee. Passing through the village of Hawksworth the sun highlighted snowdrops growing under the trees in the grounds of Hawksworth Hall. This used to be a residential special school attended by my friends son Robert who had Cerebral Palsy. Today would have been his birthday.
Like others with birthdays this week (my mum tomorrow and Grace on Wednesday) we always associate snow drops with them. Seemed appropriate for my blip today.
Back home the lovely sun had opened the lilac crocus flowering in the Magnolia bed and a second bud has opened on the Orchid I bought last week.
More of the same please.
I noticed snowdrops we’re out around the cross outside the church where we sing too, couldn't see any a couple of weeks ago
