The Deep

Ruth & I took Luca, Eben & Frieda to The Deep, an aquarium in Hull. We went by train - Luca's first train journey. Much fun was had on the train - card games, imaginary train-driving scenarios etc.
The walk from the station to The Deep (just under a mile) was ok for E and F, but proved tough for Luca.  The place itself was very crowded - as it's half-term - but there was plenty to enjoy. The sharks are a particular draw, and there's also plenty of good material about the environment.
After all that, we opted for a taxi ride back to the station.
Edit: two extras added. One with Eben and Frieda on the train; the other, a steam engine that was in Hull station for some filming when we arrived. In order not to get in the way of the filming, we had to stay back, but still got a nice view. Ruth and I were fascinated; the little ones, not so much :-)
