Happy Birthday Jon
We have had a lovely family day celebrating Jon's birthday, but sadly without Mollie & Josh. They were stuck in Copenhagen thanks to storm Otto delaying their flight home last night. Thank fully they flew back late this morning, but not without an uncertain sleepless night in the airport.
So our planned brunch for 6 became 4, but I had a huge meal and haven't needed to eat much more today! We had a wander round the shops afterwards, then down along the pier. They are refurbishing the bar area so it will be nice and new this Spring. Then to The Gangway for coffee...but no cake!
On our way back to the car we bumped into James who I work with. He was waiting for a bus home to Norwich, after catching a very early train, then walking a 20 mile sojourn of the North Norfolk countryside, ending in Cromer. It was only half past midday and he was heading home for a rest. We had probably barely walked one mile!
After lunch, we sorted our caravan stuff, filling it. (I filled it with my stuff, Jon has 3 books!)
We changed, and headed to Norwich where we are now seated at the Theatre Royal waiting to see Chris de Burgh. Not really someone we have a lot of knowledge of, apart from Lady in Red, but its a night out, and a way to celebrate my lovely husbands birthday.
