Big Bird On The Bank

Jack heron hasn't visited our neighbour's lake for a long time. I miss him. I have blipped Jack many times and posted loads of shots of other herons. A heron not in flight in silhouette is a first for me though. I spotted this one on top of the artificial kingfisher bank at the Wildlife Discovery Centre as I was leaving Fishers Green this evening.

It was lovely to meet Trigger the English bull terrier and his master again. We had a nice chat standing in the sunshine watching a pair of courting great crested grebes.

Soon after I arrived I photographed another first. Two magpies kissing for the joy of spring! :) (Extras)
