Ten Waves

There was localised disturbance of the sea surface as a small swell broke over a mostly submerged rock.  Several captures were made as successive waves came in.

Three were merged to make layer A, three more to create layer B, then four more for the final layer C.

The overcast dull weather meant that all three were almost devoid of colour so I colourised the three layers before combining them for this final image.

The result pleases me but you may feel differently. I continue to create images that I like regardless of what camera club judges think.  Tonight, I had the distinction of being awarded the lowest mark of 13/20 in contrast to last month where I managed a top mark of 20/20.  It is rather pot-luck when you stray from a purely photographic and realistic representation of the subject.
