Southern California Storms

The wind started yesterday evening and precipitation started sometime during the night:  intermittent, snow and rain.  It was mostly rain here in the desert.  It eased up in the late afternoon and I stepped outside to get a shot.  This is Big Bear in the San Bernadino Mountains.  It usually has snow on top but everyone has said they have never seen mountains so completely covered in snow.  

Our cousin's house has this view of Big Bear as well as a view of Mount San Jacinto in Palm Springs.  It is quite a spectacular sight every morning as we can see both mountains from bed.  I do love the wide open spaces of the desert.
