Chelmsford Cathedral

Mild and sunny today and I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon wandering around the town centre, completing a few errands but mostly just for curiosity and the joy of being able to walk about without freezing. I strolled over to the Cathedral and was delighted to find a rehearsal in progress.  For such a small group of singers, their glorious sound filled the rafters  - Tallis or Byrd maybe? Not sure, but no mistaking the Renaissance sound of sacred music and the way it soars above.  Beautiful.

A mostly quiet evening alone, though some family members called in for a cuppa at different times.
