B is for bark and birch

It was a great day to get my pens out and begin a project. The silver birch tree was taken down a month or so ago and we have kept much of its magnificent trunk. I took a photo of it on its last upstanding day which I lightly printed on some textured paper. P’s late wife, Frances Hamblin, had written a poem about the tree which I have now written in copperplate style on the textured paper. We plan to include a portion of the bark within the frame. A memorial to a handsome tree.
Anyway many thanks for choosing the letter B for Tiny Tuesday MaryElizaR.
