The old Police Camp …

….. ….. ….. near the Arrow River, in the Bush Creek Reserve.

I’ve been incredibly busy the past few days and I must apologise for my lack of commenting. I get to the end of the day and I’ve still not replied to you all.

The Autumn Festival is in full swing, and with the great weather we’ve been having the leaves are still on the trees and it’s all looking fantastic.

There was a Violin Taster in the main Athenaum Hall this afternoon, with a wonderful young pair entertaining, a violinist and a pianist. They were mesmerising; talented young women.

There are many events to choose from, and most are free. Friends went on a Historic Trees walk and others went on an Arrowtown Amble around historic sites. There’s a scarecrow hunt on, with extravagantly dressed scarecrows lashed to appropriate places around town eg the trees around the library. Great fun for everyone.

Tomorrow is a large market in the town’s main carpark (that’ll create problems!) and the Grand Parade in the afternoon.

I’ve added another image in Extras, of the view of the colourful hills and Mt Soho, from my conservatory.
