Solitary Iris

I came across a large bed of Irises, that had just one single beautiful bloom.  I thought it was asking to have its picture taken.

I went to pick out my granite slabs today for my kitchen counters.  I had initially made a choice from a small sample, so was feeling a little uneasy until I saw the large slabs of my choice and I was quite thrilled.  I think it will be beautiful.  Granite will be installed next Thursday.  It is really coming together nicely.  After starting to talk about this project last June, and signing the contract in September, it will be great to have it finally finished.
