Finally home.

Anything that could be delayed was delayed today!

Was expecting to see the physio this morning but sensed something was amiss when I was asked for my lunch order. Still not much appetite so I just had a chicken sandwich and a banana.

Physio finally got to me about 2:30 this afternoon then we had to wait for the bag of goodies from the pharmacy and a discharge letter.

The longest wait was to get my cannula removed as my original nurse went on a (much needed I can’t deny) break and forgot! Another nurse did it and we were allowed to come home.

Quick pit stop at my parents for a cuppa and the babies stopped by after their swimming lesson. Now home resting and counting down the hours to bedtime & medicine. Can’t get an early night unless I set an alarm as my anti-coagulant injection has to be done about 11pm. Don’t really want to be stabbing myself feeling drowsy!

Dressing check with GP in 2 weeks and back to clinic in 3. I’ve got what I think they call an air boot but still mostly non weight-bearing…wrapping myself in cotton wool next time we go away!!
