Owlet rescue

Yesterday afternoon I passed my Open Water Lifeguard (OWL) course, so obviously yesterday's blip needed to be about that.
But then, yesterday evening, wandering around the woods, I found this little one who had fallen out of the owl box. Apparently young owls will leave the nest, but they should stay in the tree, it's called branching, they use the time to develop their hunting vision. So I carefully rescued him and put him back in the box.
He was gone this morning, hopefully up high in the trees where he belongs.
A truly wonderful encounter.
