Chimney

This morning we left Taupo and headed for Rotorua.

Not far north of Taupo we stopped at the Moon Crater thermal park. Walkways took us through steam and past boiling mud pools and coloured soils. And of course the usual whiff of sulphur - a smell thermal areas are renowned for.

Nearing Rotorua we spotted the chimney in the above photo. Thermal energy is providing power to run a mill.

I only took three photos on my IPhone today and this is the best. Tomorrow I will upload something more typical of Rotorua. It' a fascinating place and quite unique.
