Watering Holes Walk, Nailsworth

I met up with GG today, and we set off for Nailsworth library to join a group as part of the Nailsworth Walking Festival. We planned to do a guided walk on the theme of (former) watering-holes of Nailsworth. I had no idea that Nailsworth had so many former 'pubs', nor even that most of the population live up on the hillside, along rambling lanes.

Our group numbered about twelve, and most of us completed the walk, which was around 10, 000 steps with a LOT of up and down, and different terrains. We passed around twenty eight former watering holes, and I was only sad that there was no actual pub visit at the end.

I have the walk booklet, so I can do it again, if the mood takes me, though I don't know who'd be game to do it with me. GG did brilliantly. We don't go for epic hikes these days.

GG dropped me off after the walk, and I've spent the evening mainly relaxing. Falafels and salad for supper was a success. Barry Humphries and the Rebels of Oz are filling our screen tonight.
