Up in the mountains
A slower ride today, slightly longer at 12 miles, more able to absorb the beauty of the scenery and take photos in the rests.
We rode along the South Loch Ness Trail and up to the dramatic and breathtaking Suidhe Chuimein viewpoint and saw the Beinn a'Bhacaidh summit. We did get enveloped in mist, but it was more than worth it!
It is wonderful to be able to experience the beauty of it all. From the road, or even off road further down, you just can't appreciate the enormity of the views.
As we approached our stop for the night, we had to cross a River where, unfortunately, the bridge has recently been swept away. We found a safe, shallowish, stretch of water, knee deep at the deepest, and splashed through it!
Adam was a gem, a joy to ride, the perfect pony, we have really gelled and trust each other. I had another perfect day.
