Salt mines

This rock salt was spilled while I was filling the salt grinder.

A little research found that the salt is mined in Cheshire and the deposits could be 200 million years old.

I was pleased to see that the “Best by” date was 13 March 2025; I would hate to be using 200 million year old salt beyond its recommended date!
