St Stephens churchyard
When I researched classical landscape art I found that it could include references to antiquity, pastoral beauty and the ideal of Arcadia, somewhere one would want to be. In looking at pictures of representative art I noticed careful composition including framing that draws the eye to the sky.
My photo was taken in the yard of St Stephens Church, Newtown. Note the giant fig tree, planted in 1848, and the gravestones in the distance (antiquity). I've also done some framing, a light area and a painterly finish.
Thanks for hosting Steveng. This was a fun thing to do.
