So many trees
We walked up a 400m elevation to complete a 10 km circuit to a church at a highpoint. A very tricky rocky path but worth the climb for the views. I've never seen so many unspoilt wooded hill/mountain slopes as we've seen in this area of Catalonia. On the way down we came across the ruins of a monastery originating in the year 865! It was so beautiful and atmospheric:see extra. A lazy afternoon and then a pizza enjoyed at a tiny pizzeria in the old town- sitting outside watching the swallows/swifts swooping down at dusk.
