Dark and Drublie Days

I always remember this phrase from Scottish history lectures: it translated as 'dark and troublesome days'. I seem to remember that much of Scottish history was dark and drublie.
The moor was a bit dark and drublie today; but not raining, and with a stiff breeze. These are conditions I can thole.

*The walking cycling efforts go well in the virtual walk, Land's End to John O'Groats: I am now in Edinburgh, just outside the Royal Commonwealth Pool. :-)
