Fresh Air

I enjoyed being outside for a little while today after 36 hours in the house watching the rain pour down.

It was a very typical Monday and after stocking up at Pillars of Hercules (the farm shop) I went into Falkland village to buy bread at The Deli. They had just made some pastéis de nata, so I treated myself. They were still warm in my hand as I walked back to the car, and it took supreme willpower not to snack on them in the car park.

Delicious.

My Blip is the entrance to Falkland Palace across the street from The Deli. I was attracted by the fruit basket on the right. They are offering a bag of apples from their 400 year old orchard for £3.

That is quite a USP.

I had bought pears and apples at the farm shop, so not this time. I hope they have some left next week.
