Pointing the Way

A day when Jamie and I had to face up to a difficult choice, something with no easy answer.  Thankfully there will be solutions to the problem eventually.   This morning however, we enjoyed a spectacular drive through the mountains to Dolgellau where Jamie had a pleasingly uneventful dental check up.   The perfect autumn day delivered many beautiful views but in days like this the lake at Talyllyn is never fails to delight.   The cloud shadow and it's reflection combine to point towards the pass over which we drive to Dolgellau although by this time we were on our way back.

Otherwise a quiet day.   A helpful call from the consultant wrt Ruth's ongoing salmonella problems which are now talked of as a 'colonisation' of her gut rather than an infection.  The approach now will be twofold, antibiotics if there is a flare up but regular medication to address a separate gut problem should change things so that the bacteria can no longer colonise her gut.  Fingers crossed.

I have also worked at home on some stoneware hexagon bowls, ready to try out some new glazes that are soon to be delivered and spent an hour at pottery this evening starting the glazing of a 'goldfish bowl' .... all will be revealed in due course.
