Armistice Day

M attended a short memorial service at the Langham Dome museum this morning. It was to commemorate all those who lost their lives while serving at RAF Langham during WWII.  In particular, Flt Sgt Frederick Harris, who died on March 25th 1945 when his Wellington Bomber (of 524 Squadron) crashed a few seconds after take-off.  His family donated a wreath which was laid at the foot of a plaque recalling the events of the crash.
