Clear sky

The flight path of aircraft bound for North America passes over Mull and today my eyes were drawn skyward as a lone jet made its mark. The air was so clear and still that it left a straight vapour trail for several miles along its path. Further research on my Flight Radar app told me that it was a Lufthansa Airbus which had left Munich just over two hours previously and was heading for Los Angeles. At the time of photographing it was cruising at 423 knots at a height of 36000 feet. This may seem a bit nerdy but I find it fascinating.
