No rain!

One of our shrubs was snapped off at ground level - no idea why - the shrub had been healthy and was full of new leaves. I dug it up and put it in the garden waste then popped another shrub in from one of our containers. I'd finished it and stepped back to have a look.....
Dug it up again and moved it a little as I didn't like where I had centred it.
After this I spent a long time gathering up piles of leaves and noticed a branch I wanted lopping off our cherry tree so asked terry to oblige. This turned out to be a good move because after he did that he trotted off to get the rake and proceeded to rake a load of leaves from the beds, which I swept / gathered up. The gardens look so much better now without leaves lying everywhere but they won't be like that for long as we have a lot of leaves yet to fall.
Got the washing almost dry and finished it off hanging indoors or in tumble dryer. More washing to do yet. Now the days are shorter, I'm going to start washing in the evening with a view to getting it pegged out early.
Lots of birds on the feeders today - at one time there were about 20, mainly goldfinches  but with a sparrow and a tit amongst them. The hedgehog visited last night - it has missed a few nights recently - maybe the constant rain was the reason.
Terry made another bird feeder! See extra.
