R.I.P. Jacob

We first saw Jacob almost exactly seven years ago waiting rehoming and we told our daughter about him and she took him in.
He lived with our daughter but he stayed with us quite frequently and for long periods during Covid, so we were very attached to him.
He was about eight years old and was a house bunny. Very sadly, he suffered acute kidney failure and has had to be “put to sleep”
So many rabbits have hellish existences, either being bred for their fur or flesh, or being kept as pets on their own in ridiculously small hutches being fed perhaps, but bored out of their minds.
Jacob had a pretty good life I think. He had the run of our daughter’s flat and always travelled first class. We will miss him a great deal.
